Killingsworth, Brady, and Smith designed the Marina Tower Cooperative Development, for which this house was built as a display home. The model apartment unit, over 2,700 square feet, was built in 1958 to display modern living in a luxury seaside setting. Although the tower project was abandoned later, this stunning display home remained and has a story of resilience and rebirth.
In 2013, Ted and Kelly Hyman discovered this hidden gem and restored it to its former glory. They used original drawings, historic photographs, and vintage marketing materials as their guide to meticulously renovate the home and gardens, overcoming unexpected challenges like termite damage and deteriorated systems along the way.
